Refund Policy

Research Journal for Social Affairs Refund Policy

Effective Date: January 15, 2023

This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which authors can receive a refund for their submitted articles to the Research Journal for Social Affairs ("the Journal").

1. Article Processing Fees:

The Journal charges a non-refundable article processing fee to cover the costs of peer-review, editing, and publication. This fee is due at the time of manuscript submission and is not contingent upon acceptance or publication.

2. Grounds for Refund:

Refunds will be granted for the following reasons:

  • Withdrawal before peer-review: Authors who withdraw their manuscript before the peer-review process begins are entitled to a full refund of the article processing fee.
  • Technical errors: If a technical error on the Journal's website prevents an author from submitting their manuscript, a full refund will be issued.
  • Duplicate submission: In the unlikely event that a manuscript is mistakenly submitted twice and both submissions are identified before peer-review, a refund for the duplicate submission will be issued.

3. Refund Process:

To request a refund, authors must submit a written request to the Journal's editorial office, clearly stating the grounds for their request and providing the necessary supporting documentation (e.g., withdrawal confirmation, error report). Refunds will be processed within 30 business days of the request being approved.

4. Non-Refundable Fees:

The following fees are non-refundable:

  • Overlength fees: Authors who exceed the word limit for their manuscript may be charged an additional fee. This fee is non-refundable even if the manuscript is ultimately rejected.
  • Open access fees: Authors who choose to make their article open access will be charged an additional fee. This fee is non-refundable.

5. Appeals:

Authors who are denied a refund may appeal the decision by submitting a written appeal to the Journal's Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief will have the final decision on all refund requests.

6. Changes to Policy:

The Journal reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Journal's website and will be effective immediately upon publication.
